Kia ora koutou.
My name is Tonja Oliver and I am a student counsellor currently studying towards my Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling at Auckland University.
I have been a Registered Midwife and Nurse for 25 years and have a passion for working with women as they navigate the twists and turns life can bring us. I prefer to work in partnership with women as together we explore ways to deal with an issue that is meaningful to that individual. I love working with women of all ages and a variety of concerns that may bring someone to seek counselling.
Areas of special interest include emotional eating, miscarriage, infertility, stillbirth and navigating change as a woman.
As I am a student, I have both a field supervisor and attend clinical supervision. All work is kept confidential.
I’m a married Mum of two girls who, when I’m not working, enjoy catching up with friends, walking my two beautiful Golden Retrievers and dabbling in some interior design.
